Why do some foods help you lose weight? They contain fat burning qualities and the elements or characteristics your body needs in order to lose fat. The foods that help burn fat have characteristics that make your body work harder to digest, therefore burn more fat. Others have the essential elements that are used to break fat down and be released from your body. There are foods that burn fat and there are nutrient rich foods that your body needs to function properly called super foods.
However, there are some other considerations to keep in mind if you want to indulge yourself by only eating these foods. Depending on how active you are or you have health conditions, you will also need to consider a balanced diet plan and plenty of rest.
Our bodies need the right environment sustained long enough to give time for the body to heal and then improve. Having researched several diets that claim certain foods help, cure or prevent a condition have taken more than an average of a few months. Therefore, you can’t starve one thing while trying to strengthen another. The key is balance. Don’t shock your body. Have a consistent eating pattern and integrate new foods into your diet, while progressively dropping the bad ones.

Eat natural foods rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C has many benefits including fat burning properties. It is also a powerful antioxidant.
Foods rich in fiber take longer to digest, therefore feeling full longer. It also helps reduce the fat, cholesterol and sugar in your body. Oats, oatmeal and fiber cereals are common. However, there is fiber in several natural fruites, vegetables and beans. Eating too much fiber at once will make you bloat.
Eat foods rich in protein because they take more energy and time to digest. Protein is also essential to build muscles that burn fat. Lean meat, turkey, tuna, salmon are a few. Whey protein powder is also good. You must consume more water if you increase your protein consumption.
Foods rich in calcium are known to reduce more belly fat from those who eat more than from those who do not consume enough.
Thermogenic foods help burn fat. These are foods like hot peppers, chili’s, cardamom, green tea and even ice water. They make the body work harder due to stabilizing the thermogenic elements they contain.
Although these foods help burn fat, this is not a diet consisting of only these foods. Even a balanced diet needs to be adjusted to one's own individual health issues or diet purpose.
